What test orders do in your store
Hidden test product, no money taken, no emails, deleted straight after with stock put back.
Every 2 hours our real browser shops on your store like a customer: it adds a product to the cart, fills in the checkout and places the order. That’s the only way to know the whole checkout works.

How it stays out of your business
- A hidden test product (virtual, priced 1.00 in your currency). Shoppers can’t see or buy it.
- A hidden test payment method that takes no money. Live card payments are never used.
- No emails: WooCommerce sends nothing to you or a customer for a test order.
- No webhooks: shipping and accounting integrations don’t receive it.
- Deleted straight after the test, with any stock put back. You may glimpse one in your orders list for a few seconds.
- Fictional details only, for example
runner@example.test.
One limit: if another plugin sends its own email directly when an order is created, outside WooCommerce’s email system, we can’t silence that one. Tell us which plugin and we’ll look into it.
After every update
Updates are when checkouts break most. When our check sees that a plugin, theme or WordPress was updated, we place a test order straight away instead of waiting for the next one, and show the result under Recent updates on the store’s page. We notice an update at the next quick check, so within about 30 minutes.

In between
Every 30 minutes we also do a quick page check: is the store up, does the plugin answer. No order is placed.
